Prayer for a New Christian

Lord, thank You so much for the many ways You’ve reached out to Your daughter’s heart. We are excited at her new life with You. God, we ask that You pour Your blessings on her life. Show her that she is on the path You’ve set for her from the beginning. Let her know, in her heart, that You loved her before the world was formed. That she is Your precious daughter. Surround her with godly people to support and encourage her; to model Christ’s love; to disciple her; and to hold her accountable. Raise her up the way You intend. Give her Your heart and Your voice, so that she may speak the life of Your Kingdom into the world around her. Help her to find her resting place in You. Teach her how to stay close to You. Show her how to find refreshment on her journey with You. Open her heart to hear her Shepherd’s voice, and to distinguish it from her own voice and from the voice of the enemy. Give her a heart to respond to You in times of confusion. Give her a mind to respond to You in times of stress. Let her flourish in Your love, that she may also share Your love with others and always point the way to You. Lord, thank You for bringing her into Your family and into Your Kingdom. She is precious and we love her with Your love. Thank You, God, for the family You have created among us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
